A Year of God's Faithfulness
in Englewood

Our Fiscal Year-End Update  |  Summer 2026

Dear Friend,

Last Friday marked the end of our fiscal year. We praise God for His provision and for the ways He has been at work in the Englewood community this year — through your prayers and your generosity.

We asked Dana and Ray for a highlight from this last year of ministry, and here's what they had to say…

Dana Estrem

“

A definite highlight from this past year was hosting a team from Ann Arbor, Michigan. They sent a team of young people, mostly university students, to our ministry during their spring break. A few of them had been here the previous year, so having them back was like seeing old friends. For the most part, we let them take over as tutors, working one-to-one, during the teaching periods. In the Lord's wisdom, the number of kids normally matched the number of team members. It was heartening to see how well they bonded with our kids. But the most encouraging part was letting them lead our Bible story time, which is the centerpiece of our after-school program. They led our kids in praise and worship music each day, followed by a testimony given by one of the team members, and a Bible story skit (which was always humorous). Few of the kids in our program are “churched,” and during that week they were exposed to the sunshine of God's love in a rich and special way.

There's been many ups and downs this year working with the kids of the community. Even so, I can't help but appreciate all the ways God has blessed this ministry. One highlight I would share is when a board member and I hosted an activity for the kids. They solved puzzles together, competed with their athletics, and even had a water balloon fight. It was great to give the kids a chance to release all the pent-up energy after school. We help them with their team building and leadership skills. We spent great fellowship together, and I'm excited to see where this year takes us. God will provide, as He always does.

We are so grateful for our volunteers and staff, and for the seeds that have been planted in hearts this year.

As we turn the calendar to a new fiscal year, we look with eager expectation to see how our great and powerful God will be at work through the preparation of opening Archer Christian Academy in the fall of 2027. We invite you to pray with us — for the provision of a facility in Englewood where the school can flourish, for the Lord to open doors (literally!), and for wisdom and clarity as we evaluate possible sites.

We also invite you to partner with us through giving to the Archer Christian Academy fund. Your gifts and prayers are the fuel of God's work in this community — the means by which we are able to dream of the renewal of Englewood, as we seek to raise up a generation of leaders who will live wisely, act courageously, and serve faithfully. If you would like to learn more or come see the ministry, we invite you to reach out to us.

Exciting News

Meet Michelle Kelley

Archer Christian Academy's new Director of Operations

Michelle Kelley

We are thrilled to introduce you to Michelle Kelley, who joined the Archer team this summer as our first-ever Director of Operations — and honestly, it's hard to overstate what a gift her arrival is to this launch. Michelle is the engine behind the vision: while we cast the dream for Archer, she is the one turning it into a real school with real doors, real budgets, and a real plan to get there.

In the months ahead, Michelle will be building Archer's financial infrastructure from the ground up, leading the search for the facility God has prepared for us in Englewood, standing up the systems that will carry us from application to enrollment, and navigating the maze of permits, codes, and compliance that stand between us and opening day. In short: if it takes Archer Christian Academy from a vision on paper to a school with a bell that rings, Michelle is likely the one making it happen.

Michelle brings a rich background to this work — she has taught middle and high school students, led resource development efforts, and managed complex programs long before she ever set foot in Englewood. That combination of heart for students and skill for systems is exactly what a launch like this calls for.

Beyond the job description, Michelle is the kind of person who lights up meeting someone new and can't resist a good puzzle — a fitting pastime for someone piecing together a school from scratch! When she's not deep in a spreadsheet or a floor plan, you'll likely find her outside with friends or curled up with a good book.

Please join us in welcoming Michelle — and in praying for her as she leads so much of what stands between us and launch!

Thanks for helping us start the year strong,

Daniel M. Bair
