A Letter from the Director

Not Just to Fix, but to Aim

Living and working in Englewood means becoming intimately familiar with a grief that should not be. I have stood with too many families around caskets that should have been graduation stages.

For over four decades, our ministry has served families here with compassion and faith. Yet we kept arriving after lives had already been shaped by broken systems. Then a question changed everything: what if our calling was not just to fix, but to aim?

This vision is Archer Christian Academy. For our families, this is our commitment: your children are worth fighting for.

Every child, launched with purpose

Our Purpose

To cultivate godly wisdom, virtue, and courage so that graduates are launched like arrows: strong in character, true in aim, and ready to serve.

Our Vision

To see Englewood renewed by the hope of the Gospel, lived out by generations of servant leaders who build flourishing families, churches, and communities.

Our Mission

To forge students as whole persons—mind, body, and soul—through a Christ-centered classical education.

What Guides Us

Our Values

01

Faithfulness to God’s Truth

Rooted in Scripture and guided by wisdom, every lesson seeks what is true and good.

02

Whole Person Formation

Education shapes mind, body, and soul together, cultivating intellect, virtue, and practical skill.

03

Courage with Compassion

We stand firm with strength and integrity, but always with kindness, patience, and service to others.

04

Hope for Englewood

Every child launched from Archer is a sign of renewal for their family, church, and community.

Our Guiding Metaphor

The Archer and the Arrow

Our entire methodology is contained in the relationship between the Archer and the Arrow.

The Academy

The Archer

The steady hand that chooses a better target and draws the bow—with discipline and a servant’s heart.

The Educational Model

The Bow

Hewn from a classical legacy and shaped like an open book—storing the energy and setting the line of flight.

The Student

The Arrow

Prepared, aimed, and launched with care—polished for God’s purposes and sent out to bring renewal (Isaiah 49:2).

The Teachers

The String

Mentors who bear the tension of high standards and transfer the bow’s energy to the arrow with precision.

Our Mantra Launched true, for God and community.

The Portrait of a Graduate

Every graduate is an arrow launched not for self-glory, but to bring renewal—shaped and sharpened for lasting impact.

1

Fletching

Guided by the Good, the True, and the Beautiful, which keep their flight stable and true.

2

Shaft

Forged in discipline and truth, growing straight and strong, free from the bends of compromise.

3

Point

Sharpened by virtue—wisdom, courage, and justice—able to make a lasting impact without shattering.

An Archer graduate will be a young man or woman who thinks critically, communicates persuasively, creates with purpose, loves learning, discerns truth, embodies virtue, and is prepared for a life of service.

The Filter for Every Decision

Nine Words, Unmistakably Ours

True. Disciplined. Discerning. Whole-Person. Classical. Known. Christ. Stretched-and-Loved. Faithful. Nine words guide every choice we make—from hiring to curriculum to how we treat a single child on a hard day.

Our Foundation

Statement of Faith

We are unapologetically Christian. Our faith is not confined to a Bible class but is the foundation of everything we do.

On God

We believe in one all-powerful God who rules over all things for His glory. He has eternally existed as three persons in perfect unity: the Father, the Son (Jesus Christ), and the Holy Spirit. From creation to the renewal of our city, everything exists to display His goodness.

On Creation & Humanity

We believe God created humanity, male and female, in His own image. Every person bears that image and carries deep worth, dignity, and purpose. We affirm the sanctity of all human life, from conception to natural death, and the beauty of God’s design for marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman. Each student is a precious image-bearer, capable of growing in wisdom, creating beauty, and using their gifts for God’s glory.

On Sin

We believe that when humanity first sinned, it fractured everything—corrupting our hearts, our relationships, and the world around us. This brokenness is the root of the conflict and darkness we see in our community and in ourselves, leaving us in desperate need of a Savior.

On Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man. Conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary, He lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross in our place to pay for our sins, and rose from the dead three days later. He ascended into heaven and will one day return in power and glory.

On Salvation

We believe we are saved from sin and made right with God by grace alone, through faith in Jesus Christ alone. This salvation is a free gift—not earned by our efforts, but given because of who Jesus is and what He has done.

On The Holy Spirit & The Church

We believe the Holy Spirit brings believers from death to life, giving us new hearts and gathering us into His Church. The Church is God’s chosen family, called to make disciples and carry out His mission in the world. Archer Christian Academy exists to serve that mission by raising up the next generation of faithful leaders.

On The Bible

We believe the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, is the inspired and perfect Word of God. It stands as the ultimate authority for what we believe and how we live.

On The Future

We believe Christ will return to judge the world and bring His eternal kingdom to completion, fully renewing the heavens and the earth. This certain hope gives meaning to our work today, calling us to live faithfully and labor for the peace and restoration of our city as we await His return.
